About Mrs. C

I am happy to be back for my fourth year at Jefferson. I am teaching advisory and math. I really enjoy working with my energetic 6th graders and will also be teaching 5th grade math this year.

I am looking forward to lots of problem solving and math discussions. I can't wait to hear how my students think about math and see their creative problem solving strategies.

I earned my Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with majors in mathematics education and biology education. I spent five years teaching Minneapolis students at Volunteers of America Alternative School in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis before coming to Jefferson. I still teach Adult High School at VOA one night per week. Last spring, I started working on my Masters Degree at Hamline University.

Outside of school I like to spend time at home with my husband, cat, and dog. I love to read and cook. I also enjoy riding my bike to school almost every day.
